It does not take many words to speak the truth (spoken by Young Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe)

 

Desire habitation not just visitation.

Don't let the wait be a weight.

Don't let what you can't do stop you from doing what you can do.

Never sacrifice your future for the present.

You sit on the shelf to die to self.

What is behind you and what is ahead of you is not nearly as important as what is within you.

We must begin what God has already finished.

The Holy Spirit is like a wave, you can resist and do things in your own strength, which causes the wave to beat on you and tire you or you can allow the wave (Holy Spirit) to carry you with no effort on your part.

Stop whining.

God doesn't call the qualified, he qualifies the called.

What you don't do by reconciliation, you will do by tribulation.

You must be tested before you can be trusted.

Out of every crisis in our life comes a chance to change our character.

Truth without the application of that truth is just a statement. Understanding requires application.

We don't know how much God has grown in us since the last time we used him.

If you don't trust God, He will bring you to a place where you don't have a choice but to trust Him.

If you want to do what you've never done, you must do what you've never done.

War has been declared upon the Christian. We don't want to go to war, but because the devil is determined to destroy us, if we are to survive we must go to war.

Without fellowship, there is no relationship. And its about relationship not religion.

Prayer produces focus, focus produces praise, praise produces death (to self), death produces obedience, and obedience produces power.

Thought, then imagination, then opinion, then stronghold (good or bad)

When Samson picked up the jawbone he broke tradition, because Nazarites are not supposed to touch any dead thing. Sometimes you have to break tradition to get the victory.

Spirit and flesh battle, the one who is fed the most wins.

Don't copy a copy, copy the original.

If you aren't proving God, who are you proving? If you aren't trusting God, who are you trusting? If you don't have faith in God, who/what do you have faith in?

Being a Christian is not a spectator sport.

God didn't tell us to understand the Word, He told us to read it, and He will give us the understanding.

Jesus is looking about everywhere for that Christian who will remain faithful and loving even when He has withdrawn Himself. If the Lord finds such a faithful soul, when He does return He rewards the faithfulness of His child.

You can tell the size of a person by the size of the problems that they are willing to take on.

The greatest limitations in our lives are inside not outside.

You may ask God for what you want, but God will give you what you need.

When you sow your will what do you get back? God's will (Garden of Gethsemane)

The more God has of you, the more of God you will have.

It doesn't matter how you go to God, there is no formula, you just need to touch God.

Things become idols when they are used for other than their God given purpose.

God gave us authority over the devil, demons, sickness, disease, etc, but we were never given authority over people.

How do you draw close to God? By talking with Him. Its hard to talk to God about yourself because He already knows everything, but when you are talking with Him and being real with Him, then you will also find that you are being real with yourself. This is very important in discovering who you are in Christ and helps you to see yourself through the eyes of God. No fronts, no defenses, no walls to hide behind. Just you and God. Real.

Times of preparation are never wasted.

The church needs to realize that it is a body, so that it will understand that when a part of the body hurts, it affects the whole body.

Study to live, not to teach, because out of the overflow of living will you give the teaching.

If you let down your walls they will become bridges to be able to minister to others.

God always shows you your destiny so that you can find your identity.

Every time God opens a door, the adversary awaits outside the door.

You can't move faith, but faith can move you.

Vacation from commitment is compromise.

If tongues is from the devil, how come the people in the bars and the drug addicts don't speak in tongues.

We don't have to beat the devil, we only have to resist him because he is already beaten.

The world doesn't have a sin problem, it has a sinner problem (sin was already taken care of by Jesus on the cross).

Those who worship weekly, worship weakly.

Burnout occurs when you are doing something that you aren't supposed to be doing or are doing it in your own strength.

You will never get over it, if you still think it matters.

If its dead either bury it or resurrect it, don't just stand around and talk about it.

When God asks you a question he already knows the answer, when we ask a question most of the time we don't want the answer.

Flies don't land on red hot coals.

When you take the devil seriously, you give him power in your life.

The devil won't follow you into the river, but he will beat the hell out of you on the bank.

To change you need pressure, diamonds are created because of pressure. So don't freak out when the pressure comes, press in to God.

If you do the following you will not be shaken: walk blameless, do what is right, speak the truth, do not slander, do your neighbor no wrong, cast no slur on your fellow man, despise evil men, honor those who fear God, keep your oath even when it hurts, lend money without usury, and don't accept bribes against the innocent.

If the atmosphere is charged with anything but God, we have the right and authority to change it (the atmosphere).

You can't produce the fruit of the Spirit, because you aren't the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit produces the fruit in you. We are only to bear the fruit of the Spirit.

Think of yourself as a parking space, if your flesh is parked there God can't be.

Seeds will lay dormant in the ground in dry places for years and then sprout when water hits them. It happens in the Spirit just the same.

Things start in the natural, and then you move into the Spirit. You don't always immediately feel like you are in the Spirit when you are reading the Word, praying or praising, but as you yield and press into the Spirit you step over into the supernatural.

Your prayer should be to agree with God not to get God to agree with you.

God anoints the faithful not the talented.

When body parts in your natural body are missing or not working properly, the rest of the body must compensate for that part that isn't working. Possible injury or overstress to the remaining body parts will occur, same thing happens in the church.

When the Glory comes, everything is blessed, healing, business, finances, etc.

Faith will increase your works, but your works will not increase your faith.

Sometimes God makes you dig it out for yourself.

The Temple had 3 gates, one called the "way", one called the "truth", and one called the "life". When Jesus told the disciples that he was the way, the truth, and the life, Jesus was saying that he was the gate to the Father.
