What We Believe

Wow, praise God, a new wave of joy has been hitting during the meetings.  It started around 3 weeks ago when Ray started to minister.  He was reading the scripture text that he was going to minister and the joy broke out.   Ray kept trying to get through, but while reading the scripture he was hit with the joy so powerfully that he fell out on the floor, soon he could no longer continue and we just gave in and enjoyed the joy of the Lord.

The next week the joy hit again, starting with someone different, and as it moved through the people a new believer got hit with it.  What an awesome pleasure to be in the Presence of God and have Him manifest His awesome joy in our midst.

For the third week in a row the joy hit while Ray was ministering the message that God gave him.  Several people were hit with the joy as the meeting continued and the Word was preached, all the while joy and laughter was in the background.  The awesome power of God fell in the place to fill us with joy and to provide inner healing to several who were hurting.

To speak about Ray and Sue Yackell and their ministry is for me a
great honor. From the first time I met the Yackells until now, they
have been two of the most profound and meaningful people currently
serving in ministry that I have ever met. The power and anointing and
abundant life giving leadership which they have displayed in my life
and so many others over the years, is perhaps only eclipsed by their
sheer love for both their Savior and for the lives of others.

It was my times visiting at Ray and Sue's young adult retreats that I
continued to encounter God in profound ways that would forever change
both who I am as a person, and indeed the very path in which I was to
continue on. When I first came to the Yackell's retreat I was a mostly
shy and insecure individual who held a very tenuous grasp on my
faith. I had lots of questions, and deep down I knew that I truly
needed to encounter the soverign and supernatural power of God that I
had not only experienced periodically in my life, but also that I had
heard about from the very word of God. Though I was not sure what to
expect at the Yackell's retreats, I was not at all disappointed in what
I recieved there. Ray and Sue both spoke with a very powerful
prophetic and teaching annointing, and really took the time to speak
not only God's love but truth into my life, when I was largely a
stranger to them. Their dedication to their calling, and to the
serving of myself and others really put them at the forefront of my
mind, as people who were not only willing to "talk the talk" but who
meant to truly "walk the walk." There is nothing showy or gimicky
about the power that God has bestowed upon Ray and Sue, and for the
time that I have known them, I have witnessed them again and again
exercise that power with boldness, care, and unwavering love for
those they minister to. To put it simply...Ray and Sue are the real
deal in a world which has largely become all about the glitz and the
glamor, in a world which would rather put up a faux and glittering
cookie cutter facade, than to get to the real heart of the matter.

My advice to anyone reading this testimony, or to anyone who is
contemplating attending one of Ray and Sue's meetings....is to ask
yourself, "Are you ready to encounter the God of the bible? Are you
ready to experience something real, something holy, something
spectacular and life changing? Are you ready for what you've been
missing out on for the majority of your life but you always somehow
knew there was something more that was out there?"

And if the answers to those questions are indeed yes, then my strong
advice is to attend one of Ray and Sue's meetings because that is
exactly what they bring to the table, for God has gifted them
abundantly to the grace and blessing of all. And as Ray and Sue would
surely tell you themselves...they are by themselves only vessels, only
messengers and common believers caught up themselves in a real
relationship with a powerful and equally real God.

As for myself, I know I am indeed a better and changed man because of
my times spent with them. I have recently graduated from college, as
well as managing to make Dean's List for the past 4 semesters in a row
which for myself has been not only an accomplishment that I am proud
of, but has also been a true miracle in and of itself. And as I search
now in this time of transition and contemplate possible carreers, it
is my hands on experiences at the Yackell's which urges me ever onward
toward persuing a lifelong career in ministry. I can think of no
greater calling than to do just what Ray and Sue have done for years:
helping any and all they have met to encounter the love, grace, and
power of Jesus Christ. And I know that I could not have made it as far
as I have, nor come to this stage in my life and my walk, without the
love of God, nor without the care, love and support of people in my
life like Ray and Sue. And no matter what you decide to do upon
reading this, whether you take up the great opportunity to attend Ray
and Sue's meetings or not, I am sure my hope is the same as their
hope: that you find for yourself those people and things in life which
truly give you life and inspiration and which really help you connect
with God, and you just grab hold and never look back. Its one heck of
a ride, but trust me, in the end, it is all very worthwhile!

Be blessed and be kept.
A fellow brother, soldier, and friend in Christ,
Jason G. Kelley
